Dr Selin ŞİMŞEK ALKAN

Le Dr Selin Şimşek Alkan, maître de conférences, est ophtalmologue à l’Hôpital de la Faculté de médecine de l’Université Biruni.

Elle est diplômée de la Faculté de médecine de l’Université de Kocaeli en 2020 et a terminé sa formation de spécialité en ophtalmologie à l’Hôpital de formation et de recherche Dr. Sadi Konuk de Bakırköy, Istanbul, en 2024.

Elle a exercé comme spécialiste en ophtalmologie à l’Hôpital de formation et de recherche Dr. Sadi Konuk de Bakırköy, Istanbul (2020–2026) avant de rejoindre l’Hôpital de la Faculté de médecine de l’Université Biruni en 2026.

Ses domaines d’intérêt clinique comprennent la chirurgie de la cataracte, le glaucome, la rétinopathie du prématuré, le strabisme et la rétine médicale.

Ses travaux de recherche portent sur les résultats des implants intraoculaires, l’imagerie du glaucome et la rétinopathie du prématuré, avec des articles publiés dans des revues internationales à comité de lecture et des communications lors de congrès scientifiques nationaux et internationaux. Elle est titulaire du Fellowship of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) et d’une certification ICO en optique, réfraction et instruments. Elle est membre de l’Association ophtalmologique turque (TOD).
